Eighth Day in Beijing - Great Wall

It was a great day, but it will be a short post tonight.  We spent the evening packing and trying to get all of our stuff to fit and I need to get these kiddos to bed.  One of them already gave in, due to all of the climbing he did today!

We took a VERY long trip to the Great Wall (2 hours traveling there and 3 hours back).  This is the third time for Mark and I and also the third spot we have had the privilege of visiting.  Definitely the clearest, most amazing weather for it!!  We could see forever!  We had to take a tourist bus and then climb to the cable cars.  The kiddos loved the cable car (MUCH safer than the cable cars we took before).   We climbed quite a bit, but there was a lot of hiking to even get to the Great Wall and poor Meilynn and Greyson were stretched to their limits.  Every bit of the climb has uneven walkways and uneven stairs.  Poor little Greyson has scrapes all over his legs.  The view was so worth it though!

Greyson had a tough day today.  He has had three changes of clothes and two baths.  He peed through (after refusing to go in the restroom) twice today.  This is the second time he has peed on Mark (luckily, not much at all).  We all earned chocolate bars for that, Mark earned two!!  I think we actually had a bit of a breakthrough, however, Greyson seemed genuinely sorry for what he did and was much more behaved tonight.  We also made it through our last meal at Beijing Pizza Hut.  I think they celebrated that we were leaving, no more special order pepperoni only pizzas (they are not very used to custom ordering here).

We leave for Guangzhou in the morning!!  Closer to our little girl!!
