We Are On Our Way!!

We leave TOMORROW!!!!

We will be heading to the airport tomorrow morning to fly across the ocean and get our precious son and daughter!  Mom and dad will be staying here and watching Addi and Ry.  We are all nervously excited.  There are several ways that you can help by praying for us!
1. Greyson's and Kristyn's heart would be prepared to meet us.
2. We would find ways to meet their needs and connect/attach with them.
3. Everyone's health (too many of us and too many appointments to have anyone sick)
4. Brayden, Meilynn, Jayson, and Kaitlyn would be prepared and ready for this experience.
5. Christ would shine through us as we interact with tour guides, orphanage workers, civil affairs workers, drivers, hotel staff, etc.

We thank you for all of your prayers.  This is going to be two of the toughest transitions we have experienced.  Greyson and Kristyn have both spent almost their entire lives in orphanages, unlike our other adoptions.  The concept of family will be foreign to them (as will our looks, smells, language, customs, etc).  This will require Brayden, Meilynn, Jayson, and Kaitlyn to have a little extra understanding and empathy.  We have had lots of discussion on how Greyson and Kristyn might respond differently than we expect or not hold the same values we have as a family.  We have talked about how life may have been in an orphanage, where there may have been a shortage of food and no toys to call their own.  We have also let them know that our discipline will look different and may seem unfair at the beginning as Greyson and Kristyn learn what it means to be an Anderson.  Again, we cannot thank you enough for your prayers throughout this journey.  We have many tough days ahead of us.  As we know, it is often not the first few days that are the hardest and we have two adjustment periods as we add two kiddos a week apart.  HOWEVER, we have also seen the other side!  We know what it means to increase our family and the love that is found in that!  We know what a blessing it is as these kiddos blossom, show their personalities, accept and give love, and graft into our family!
