Seventh Day in Beijing - Paperwork Day (Boring)

Last night we wandered to Pizza Hut (again).  With Brayden and Jayson we are far from adventurous this trip.  I did manage to order the lasagna and fried rice with bacon.  I felt pretty proud getting the extras (they were good).  We also stopped at the grocery store.  All of the kiddos got KinderJoys (candy and little toys in eggs).  We got Kaitlyn 2 bowls of noodles that I cooked back at the hotel room.  We also got some rice milk, since Greyson went nuts when he saw it.  He LOVED it!!  So did Meilynn, who remembers it and couldn't wait to get back and have some.  We will definitely get some more.

While waiting for our guide and driver this morning, the kiddos discovered a kids' seating area with books to look at.  They were extremely surprised at what they found.  It was all in Chinese, so we have no idea what it says, but we knew the content from the pictures!

Are you as surprised as we were?!?!

Poor kiddos today!  It was drive and wait, drive and wait, drive and wait...  Ugghhhh, poor Greyson was acting up a LOT, but who could blame him?  We spent from 9:40 am to 3:00 pm driving and sitting.  First to Civil Affairs for finishing initial paperwork.  Then to the Notary to get Greyson's Birth Certificate, Abandonment Certificate, and Adoption Certificate.  Then we drove to the passport building and waited over an hour there.

We only had a slight break for lunch at our fifth or sixth McDonalds.  There was no where to sit together, so we had to split up.  The only upside was that it was in a mall with a nice restroom with Western toilets, toilet paper, soap, and paper towel!  This may seem like a small thing, but here it is HUGE!

We have spent the day listening to JingJing sing a popular Chinese kid's song "Wo Ai Ni Baba" (I love you Daddy).  We keep the tune but fill in Mama, Greyson, Jingjing, etc.  He is singing it right now, "Wo Ai Ni Greyson" (cute, but he is supposed to be sleeping). ;)  He is ALWAYS entertaining.  His favorite is Gangnum Style (he sings AND dances) in the most hilarious voice.  Oh my, be prepared if you have the pleasure of meeting him. I refuse to be held responsible for what will come out of his mouth for about a year! ;-O Luckily, in a couple of weeks we'll be in the States and no one will understand him until we go to East Lansing (then we might be in trouble)!
